Wednesday, March 16, 2016. A walk in the woods. Last Saturday the girls wanted to go for a walk in the woods to see if they could find a place to have a picnic. We ended up following the stream to make sure that we could easily find our way home. Lilly let the way and at several points she found places for us to easily cross the stream. At one part of the stream there was a lot of algae growing. The girls enjoyed looking at it and reaching in to touch it.
Monday, July 6, 2015. When we were homeschooling, we always had the children do a family newsletter. I was going through some old papers last week and found one of the early ones. This one from 1987 was literally cut and pasted, with scissors and glue. Friday, July 3, 2015. The grandkids love watching him open his gifts. He made parts on his lathe for the first time. We canned our first batch of green beans.
