It is the story of a teenage girl who has been abused by both of her parents sounds like Precious I know but I wrote before I even heard of the book. The protagonist, Kala Johnson finds her freedom in eating a meal that has been forbidden by her father. My goal with this novel was to make you laugh and cry, put the book down and want more Im working on a sequel.
