I was working diligently on Barbershop Quartet, and made some good progress. Welcome to Hogwarts is the first one up. They travel a lot to drum circles and workshops, so we have to protect the heads. And of course, they must be well-dressed djembes. This one I designed based on an African mask called The Good Mother. I am enjoying embroidering this, so I will probably do some more masks.

Sunday, March 4, 2018. A couple of weeks ago I celebrated my 55th birthday. Wow, that got here fast! I still feel like I am in my thirties, so it seems very abstract in a way to be 55. I feel great joy and have learned a lot in the past 55 years. I walk in gratitude for my life experiences, which have been pretty cool and varied, and I am still excited about what else lies ahead.
