The appearance of the town of Dornoch will be rather disappointing to the visitor who has preconceived notions of it, formed by thoughts of what the town of an extensive shire such as Sutherland ought to be. Welcome to our Dornoch pages. These have all been photographed and fully transcribed and are available for in Burial Ground Section. People - donated by our members.
Monday, 22 February 2016. Having driven this road I must assure you it is a good road through the most amazing scenery. Durness Parish contains three known burial grounds - Arnaboll, Alt na Caillich and Balnakeil. All have been photographed and transcribed. Details on how to view can be seen in. Donated by members of our mailing list. Some details of those who lived in Strathbeg, mainly shepherd. Free Church Register Births and Baptisms.
Welcome to our Golspie pages. There is a considerable amount of information here to help in your Family History researching. I also hope these pages will encourage you to visit Golspie, one of my favourite places. It is interesting to see how many people from Clyne, Rogart and Dornoch are buried here. People and places plus even more HERE.
The view from the railway, nearer the station, is really grand. In the foreground we have the river Shin, with the woods and policies of Achany and Gruids. See labels on right to view other pages in Lairg.
Welcome to Loth and Kildonan pages. On this website Loth is treated as part of Kildonan simply because following boundary changes many years ago the two parishes became quite confusing. Helmsdale was at one time Loth but is now Kildonan is only one example. Many of our Militia lists etc have men in Loth on one and in Kildonan on next. Much easier to show them together. Thank you for your understanding. Burial Grounds in Loth and Kildonan. Families of Loth and Kildonan.
