Friday, October 21, 2011. I think I can now finally say that Lexie sleeps through the night. Yes, she is 13 months old, and yes, it has taken her this long to sleep through the night consistently. I have been asked if I let her cry - and yes, lots! One night she cried for an hour. then it took me an hour to get her settled down. Not fun! And has for over a week. Woo hoo is all I can say! .

The museum is more like a garage with a bunch of old trams that are open for kids to walk around in and explore. There was even a spot where the kids could play with a wooden train set.
Friday, May 31, 2013. WooHoo, the ZOO! A mere two weeks after our bundle-up-super-chilly field trip, we decided to end our school year with a trip to the Abilene Zoo. Temp high for that day? 100 degrees. The kids were so excited to feed the fish. There are tons of them! Plus, we saw water snakes and turtles hanging out with them, too. Wednesday, May 22, 2013.

Tuesday, October 30, 2012. 9x Cyprichromis leptosoma Mpulungu fry RIP. Nine 7-day old leoptosoma fry were moved to a 40 litre rearing tank away from the community they were born in. Fry appeared in good condition the evening of the move, though the following morning they were found to have been sucked into the internal filter and killed. Failure to provide adequate housing.
