Monday, October 26, 2009. Since I was just a little girl my family has gone to Lagoon on the same weekend every year. It has been a fun tradition to look forward to. This was my first attempt at the bunny cake that my mom used to make for us each Easter. I think it came out pretty well! I made a carrot cake from scratch for it.
Sunday, August 16, 2015. Tyler turned 30 this year. His birthday falls two days after our anniversary and most years it gets blended into our anniversary celebration. This year I made sure to go all out just for his birthday. Sundance just built a 2 mile zip line at their ski resort so I surprised Tyler with that. It was so much fun. This is the very top of the resort where the first of 4 ziplines started. It seriously was so beautiful and such a rush. I highly recommend doing this. Top 5 - July 2015.

They had a great time and hopefully will be returning next year to claim the crown. There was a lot of competition and a lot of yummy food. Monday, July 20, 2015. We celebrated the Fourth in our typical fashion starting out the day with the Freedom Festival 10k and then heading to Kneaders for breakfast with the family. In the early evening we headed to the park for a bbq. Jason made a 7 layer bean dip, which hed literally been wanting to do for over a month. Monday, April 6, 2015. I will probably have many more posts about Dr. Seuss before the semester is over because I love him! I love his books so much because they just make me happy when I read them. He teaches children and adults some important life lessons through his books.

I believe that we are given experiences in life to increase our understanding of our personal strength and power. The power to heal, to lift. I believe that we are given a greater capacity to help and understand those around us because of our experiences-espeically the hard, difficult experiences. But a few months ago, I was given a challenge that seemed far beyond anything I had endured previously.
