Monday, July 25, 2011. The route was long and hilly. As far as I know everyone made it back alive. I think I was the second to last or third to last person to make it back. The event did not transpire as I had imagined for a lot of reasons. About half the people who started the route finished the entire ride. It was a long haul! Thanks to everyone who participated in the ride; that route is pretty sweet. Monday, December 20, 2010.

Wednesday, September 7, 2016. Anyway, the bike is a hodge podge of parts that were laying around. One thing for sure is that the old cup and ball bearings of the square taper crank set with an old Shimano BB is by far a smoother bearing surface then the sealed bearings found in most crank and BB sets of modern cranks. You spin these cranks backwards and they spin without much effort. Now we live in a standard 39 x 11-23. Maybe that big gear made us stronger? Fun bike to ride.
