1795 - 1847 - SON OF MATHIAS AND BARBARA CLIZER. JOHN and ARISBA CLIZER FAMILY of Page County, VA and Andrew County, MO. John was not long permited to enjoy his new home, as his health failed and he died October 23, 1847 at the young age of 52. His remains were enterred upon the family cemetery on the farm. John Clizer was a soldier of the war of 1812, a democrat in politics and an upright honorable man. CHILDREN of JOHN and ARIZBA CLIZER. James Mathias Cliser, 1889.
CHILDREN of BENJAMIN and SUSAN HOWELL CLIZER. Born 3-31-1847 in Page County, Virginia. As an infant, moved with his family to Missouri. There he married Susan Pennille Howell of Andrew County on 1-27-1867. Benjamin died 2-17-1910 in Tekoa, Washington. 1 Steve Pyburn, b.
and NANCY WALKER CLIZER FAMILY. Born 10-15-1842 in Page County, Virginia, to John and Arisba Clizer. died 10-25-1924 in Latah, Washington. Married Nancy Walker on 8-18-1867 in Andrew County, Missori. Born 7-28-1868, died 7-23-1898.
WILLIAM ARTHUR GIBBINS and SARAH CLIZER GIBBINS FAMILY. Born 1839 in Page County, Virginia, daughter of John and Arisba Clizer. Also known as Sallie, Sarah married William Arthur Gibbins on 9-22-1868 in Andrew County, MO. In later years, they traveled along the Oregon Trail with other family members in 1880, finally settling in Latah, Washington. Sarah died in 1926 and is buried at the Latah Cemetery. 1 Scott Watts, born 3-14-1966. 2 Stacey Watts, born 6-2-1967.
