I remember my dad saying to me a couple of years ago that he would not be around forever and I immediately insisted that he had at least another 15-20 years left ahead of him. His untimely passing has come as such a devastating shock to us all. There was no warning, no long goodbye, no chance to say farewell. Even when I did trips without him, most recently four months ag.
