Many designs in Japan respond to the needs of the people that live there and have been incredibly interesting to observe and use first hand. Necessity is the mother of invention, and in a place like Japan there is never a lack of either.

Friday, December 25, 2009. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. Today is my last day in Istanbul,. Tomorrow morning at 0900 i fly out of here on a plane homeward bound. I feel a sense of bittersweetness. I really loved my time here and i felt like something really clicked with me here in Turkey. But at the same time it has been a vacation from real life and its time for me to get back to reality. And get a job or go to grad school. And i have to keep moving forward.
