A few examples of some of my longer feature articles and interviews are linked to below. There are some formatting errors and phantom characters in the articles and I am trying to remove these errors when I have time. The articles are in no particular chronological order. And have kept this online. I am currently working on two books so my periodical and newspaper work is infrequent.

A guide to Japanese bars and Japanese alcohol culture, was published by Tuttle Publishing in 2011. I contributed an essay to Whiskey and Philosophy. Which was published in hardback by Jonathan Cape in June 2005 and in paperback by Vintage a year later.

Off to school with a spring in my step. This is a log of recently published articles I kept sporadically between the middle of 2004 and the start of 2005. Most of the links to the newspapers are now dead or behind subscription walls but I have decided to keep it up because it gives a fairly good snapshot of my work at the end of my time as a freelancer in London.

A secret set of instructions sent from Tokyo to the Japanese ambassador about how to handle the peace plan was picked up by American code-breakers and a translation of the instructions was on the desk of Secretary of State Cordell Hull days before the Japanese ambassador made his presentation.
