Beaver Falls, PA 15010. The Chippewa Area Lions held their annual White Cane Days October 7 and 8 at WalMart in Chippewa. The Lions want to thank everyone who contributed and supported our event. Proceeds from this fundraiser go to support the blind charities in the area. Who Are The Lions? The Chippewa Lions and The Little Beaver Lions co-sponsor an annual Drug Poster contest at BIS and a Leo Club at Blackhawk High School.
The Christmas tree sale is one of the oldest fundraisers of the Chippewa Area Lions. Started by PDG Virgil Scott over 40 years ago, it still continues today. One of the nice parts of this fundraiser is the generational customers. A large number of our customers came to the lot with their parents, now they are bringing their children to pick the perfect tree and to continue what has become a family tradition. Setting up the tree lot for another season.
The students are outstanding Seniors selected by the faculty at Blackhawk High School. Students of the Month 2009-2010. Students of the Month 2010-2011. Student of the Month September. Student Council, Academic Games. Student of the Month October.
The Lions routinely assist people within the community that need help. It can be some thing as small as providing an eye exam or something as major as building and installing a ramp so a person has access to their home.
