Back in September, when we first met, we discussed what it meant to be an artist and what an artist needs to be creative. We played around with materials and explored a variety of ways to make art. Halfway through the course we paused to consider why people make art in the first place and you thought deeply about what makes you unique and what you have to say through art.

I chose to do this because a hermit crab describes me because the hermit crab can come out of the shell or decide to hide in it. I will be making a symbolic portrait of the characters from my favourite show, The OC. The four main characters are Marissa, Ryan, Seth, and Summer. It is kind of difficult to show them through the objects that I want to use because I do not necessarily have access to these objects.
