We went to New Salem the same day we went to Dickson Mounds. They were only about an hour apart. Our guide was a member of the Church who lives in nearby Petersborg. Abraham Lincoln spent six years in New Salem from the ages of 22-28.

These days I do get to have a shower every day, I can take a fairly long one well that is if the teens have left me any hot water, I can shave my legs! Ive been asked several times if its easier being a mom now than when I had little ones. That is one loaded question! The are more independent and that can be very helpful! He turned out .CONTENT
