Monday, August 4, 2014. I cant believe my internship is ending so soon! I wish I could stay longer but I suppose I should go and finish schooling and get my degrees. Im slowly saying my goodbyes to my favorite animals and keepers. Dolly my most favorite giraffe in the ENTIRE world is being super cute when she sees me. She gets all excited and I realize that Ill most likely have separation anxiety when I have to leave her and the zoo. Her target training is going great! The tiger cubs are now out on ex.

The Farm Life

Tuesday, October 9, 2012. Sunday, September 2, 2012. Learning to process a chicken. Moving onto the cow side of the farm, we finally moved the cows onto the Sorghum- Sudan grass field. The field can only be grazed once the Sorghum-Sudan grass has reached a height of 18-24 inches. The reason for this is because this particular plant contains dhurrin which breaks down and releases prussic acid which is toxic to the cows. Group photo of Jeanmarie, Greg and I.
