I was born and raised in Halifax, Nova Scotia but now due to my charitable work and recent marriage I also think of South Africa as home. In July 2010 I left Thembalethu, South Africa, returned home to Canada and then to Rome. I am here to study a Masters in Human Development and Food Security, a program that works to end chronic hunger. Life in Rome is certainly a big change from the world I knew in South Africa surrounded by shacks and Xhosa culture. This will be a year to remember.CONTENT
