Wearing a polka dot skort, Mikki hobbles outside and gets into a car on the passenger side. She wonders if she could drive it since it is an older car with a front bench seat. Plötzlich war sie nicht mehr Lebensgrundlage, sondern symbolisierte Armut und Plackerei. Sie war das Gegenteil von dem geworden, was man Fortschritt nannte.
