Tampines GRC grassroot organisations organised their first Hari Raya bazaar at Tampines Central 5, next to the Tampines MRT station. At the bazaar launch ceremony on 4 Jul 2014, kompang groups all over the GRC came together to break the existing kompang record. A total of 125 players which included the GRC advisers and Minister of Education Heng Swee Kiat pounded on their kompang in rhythm together.
