Tuesday, 1 November 2011. Old Town Spring, Houston what a find. Today is a day off between Quilt Market and Festival so we hired a car and travelled out of the City to the north and visited Old Town Spring. It,s a small railway town from the early 1800,s that has been restored. the old houses are now shops which had all sorts of goodies in them. primitive dolls, shabby chic, folk art and even Amish furniture. Tomorrow we are doing a TV interview, so it,s off to bed to get some beauty sleep. Florrie and B.CONTENT

Welcome to our Website! Over the last three years, outdoor pursuits have sadly taken a back seat to our professional lives at Texas Tech University, Lubbock, TX. Thus, we are stripping this thing down to focus mainly on the trip reports from our time in Canada. Since moving to West Texas, we have been hiking and backpacking in the area. We will eventually update the site with trip reports from these adventures.
