The combo of family, friends, iron bowl, time off work, decorating the house, eating so much good food, sleeping in, etc. it all seems too good to be true! Thank you, Jesus. Just to make sure they knew. As the plane carried me two hours to my next destination, the tears continued. And it still is today, in January, almost six months later.

Tuesday, June 14, 2011. Balsamic Roasted Broccoli and Ranch Potato Salad. Easy to make for more than one though! 4 oz fresh broccoli. Salt and pepper to taste. Toss all ingredients in bowl. Place on cookie sheet and bake until tender. 4 medium sized red potatoes, quartered.

Moonwalker Sunflower, each plant has multiple blooms. Angel face Rose, planted this year from bareroot. They smell so good, a little citrusy. Blue Fortune Hyssop, the leaves smell like black licorice, and Sky Angel dahlias. My light was starting to fade but this Seattle Dahlia seems to glow. Thanks for making my birthday cake for me, Mama.
