California - March 2007. Our trip to California for Paul and Lacis Catalina Challenge Relay race. Followed by a drive to San Diego and a cruise home. Sunday, April 8, 2007. The final shot - my mom waiting to welcome us back home. She actually went to Stanley Park, near the mermaid statue and we could see her orange umbrella, but she couldnt really see us. Holly was really happy to see her and kept pointing and saying Poh-Poh and kicking her feet very excitedly. A nice end to a great vacation! Laci, M.CONTENT

Thursday, April 24, 2008. Poznan - Krakow, Poland! Here we are in Poznan, Poland! The second installment of our organized study tour. Even though it seems like a completely random place to visit, Poznan actually had a lot of cool stuff. It felt very stereotypical in the Eastern European sense. A lot of buildings still look very communist in design which was interesting. This was their main square though and it was pretty cool. The coloured houses reminded me of Copenhagen.
