The Mission Statement of our Club. The Calgary Kookaburras is a non profit club whose mission is to provide a competitive and social atmosphere for Canadian and international women to play Australian Rules Football. 2009 Calgary Kookaburra Slave Auction. Schanks Sports Grill at Crowfoot Terrace NW. Saturday 12 September from 7pm. In addition to the auction, there will be activities such as virtual golf, pool and mini golf available on the night. 4 hours of spring cleaning.

The Downunder Travel Alberta Footy Schools Program. Is a new Australian football initiative in Calgary. At the end of the 2008 season, the Calgary Kookaburras saw a need for a program that would introduce younger Canadian girls into our footy team. The concept has developed and is being implemented during May and June, 2009. Local travel agent Downunder Travel.
Was founded in 2008 to provide intra-club competition for the Calgary Kookaburras representative team. In its inaugural year, 13 matches were played and the Hillhurst Nighthawks won the premiership. The league is always growing. In 2009, a third team from Edmonton. Their home ground is the Queen Elizabeth School.
