Thursday, January 1, 2015. Exploring photography using an iPhone 6. For the last 2 years, I have chosen a specific interest to study in more depth. The first year, I chose cryptic crosswords as it had always annoyed the hell out of me that I had trouble with them. I spent the year doing the cryptics in The Age newspaper and by the end of it felt I certainly had a far better grasp of them. I ended up developing an app. However, I have decided that it might be easier and more interesting to use an iPhone 6.
Thursday, June 3, 2010. Singapore - the early days. So this is how we would have arrived in Singapore and provides a snapshot of the type of life my parents would have enjoyed in the 1950s. Our first residence was a flat at Fife House in Grange Road, which was off Orchard Road, one of the main thoroughfares out of the city. This is the view from the balcony looking up Grange Road and as you can see below, I really was quite young to have travelled so far at such an early age.

So now it is time to work on the inside of the project and this post will deal with the main wet area which is located in my end between the Kitchendiningsitting area and my bedroom. The first job that needs doing is getting the floor tiled and we contract local tiler Alan Bourne. We have decided to clad this area in Villaboard with one length of colorbond as a feature and laminex in the shower area over the Villaboard. Monday, June 14, 2010.
