Saturday, July 23, 2011. We were SO busy playing at the beach on our vacation that we didnt have time to update the blog! Our vacation started on July 4th driving down to Surfside Beach. Surfside is near Freeport, about 40 miles west of Galveston. It is a small town on the Gulf with lots of pastel colored beach houses up and down the coast. We stopped at Wal-Mart and picked up our groceries for the week. We had already planned out our meals for the week so a quick run through and we were done! I did see.
