Years ago, when I was new to the Christian faith and a member of the Anglican Church, I purchased a string of beads called the Anglican rosary. When I left the communion they sat unused with other religious paraphernalia until this year. I have recently decided to throw myself into Anglicanism, observing Lent. I never seem to tire of this magnificent all-day smoke. But there are those times when one wants a bit more complexity and distraction. It finishes with a lovely flourish in which I always wind up trying a bit to hard to light the dottle. It is too satisfying to want another bowl but to satisfied to want to see the bowl end.

Pipe Smoking is Not a Habit. Much to my surprise and joy! It is a hand made pipe from Poul Winslow. It is one of twelve that were made for the 75 year jubilee of the Davidoff shop here in Copenhagen. I own number 11 of the twelve pipes. This one is flame grained and in a delightful size that fits my clutching hand.
