Saturday, 20 February 2010. Managed to get out and about yesterday and get some images of the beautiful Red Kite, such an amazing bird and wonderful to see the re introduction programs working so well. The last time i photographed Red Kites was a long while back when i had a film camera and a manual focus lens! The committee at Birdguides have selected this images over hundreds of great images to be Picture Of The Week for15. The time and effort to capture this image has finally paid off. Everything just fell into place,the light,no wind, the subject and most of all Lady Luck.

A nice little bird took a fancy to me. 160;regarding Otters on Waterhead Pier in Ambleside, I asked my boss if it would be possible to take Tuesday off to head off early and hopefully get some shots of these amazing animals. A night on the Newt.

It is a while since I posted.The weather has not been good and I am currently restricted as to how far I can walk.I did however last week manage a couple of trips to Martin Mere Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust.I could manage to get to the Discovery Centre where at Feeding Time there was plenty of action from the thousands of birds present.
