Regina Calton Burchett Fine Art. After spending most of my life in the dramatic open spaces of Texas, I now have new skies and landscapes to paint as a North Carolina artist. I love this beautiful and green state, blessed with tall sheltering trees and dramatic, inspiring clouds. Primarily I am a pastel artist but recently have worked more recently in charcoal and oil. I am an associate member of American Women Artists.

This little painting was done during the month of January when my husband and I rented a condo in Florida to escape the colder weather. I took a minimum of pastel supplies with me, but enough to complete a couple of pieces. This is done, with permission, from a photo taken by an artist friend of a beautiful Iris growing in her yard. When I started here, the blog choices were very limited. I had only a few templates to choose from, limited picture space and loading. And as my blog grew, I really outgrew the name.
