Like so much of my poetry, this piece seemed to appear from out of nowhere, as if my sub-conscious composed it, then spit it out into my conscious brain for approval. I was in the middle of a long, hilly ride when this one popped out of the blue. It sums up the last few months quite nicely. Once again the day turns violet-gray.
Monday, December 5, 2011. Pumpkin Spice Cake with Maple Frosting. This is pretty much the best pumpkin spice cake I have ever had. I think the frosting is what pushed this one over the edge for me.
