When the next fall comes and it is time to refresh everything, working some of the older pine straw into the soil helps loosen the soil, aerate it and adds some natural compost material for long term nutrition to your gardens. My most favorite thing about pine straw is that it really brightens the gardens up whereas the bark mulches always seem so dark. Azaleas and Rhododendrons and Camellias. Roses, roses and more roses.

Kuala Lumpur Central and the Aquarium. A trip on the monorail to KLCC where we took in the sights of Central Kuala Lumpur, including the Petronas Towers and the shopping district. In front of the towers is a lake with fountains and gardens. It is also the conference district and strangely houses the aquarium.
