Wednesday, March 14, 2018. This month marks 3 years since Brendan had SDR. Everyone always said time flies as you age and it surely does. Life has been different ever since he had surgery. He has come so far in every way. He is such a great kid but can still drive me insane daily. Looking back I still believe it was the best decision we could have made for him. Does he walk in canes? No Does he stand on his own? No Does he still need a wheelchair? I then aske.

He has always been my best friend. But what I can do is honor him. That is what this blog is about. This is the story of Buzz. My Dad, my hero and my absolute closest friend. This is our journey as we struggle to say goodbye while Alzheimers takes over our lives and robs us of our last years together. I am compelled to tell the story of my journey with my Dad. Twelve weeks ago, Mum had a series of minor falls. Three weeks ago the nurses put a wheelchair in her room to take her to the dinin.

Friday, April 6, 2018. I often feel I am on a rollercoaster swaying back and forth as it speeds around many curves shaking up my inner feelings. The head of nursing has confirmed that mom is in the last stages of the disease. I do not know when she will finally say goodbye, yet in my heart, I do not believe that it is in the near fut.
