Sunday, August 16, 2015. The Good, The Bad and The Frugal. The husband let me sleep in on Sunday morning and even made breakfast. Poor guy is doing a lot of teething lately. Got a new Roku player for the bedroom that has headphones on the Roku remote, which is nice for when Little Wolf is asleep. Also got a video game and Little Caesers pizza. Little Wolf played ball with his great grandpa. I know Pa enjoys it. I took half the pepper.

On the build up to Christmas this year we have been mainly focused on creating some precious memories for Lily. She is at that wonderful age when she is beginning to understand what it is all about, so excitement levels have been reaching pretty high. The air has been still and damp and the ground so muddy we had to wear our wellingtons instead of our walking boots. Of course, that also meant we were able go splashing in the puddles. Nur nachts leuchtet er nicht. Gestern war ein wunderbar warmer Oktobertag mit dem besonderen, goldenen Licht, dass mir so gut gefällt. Sogar in der Stadt und durch die Linse meiner Handykamera kann man ein bisschen von dem Zauber erkennen. Heute machen die Glühbirnen schon wieder Überstunden. So kann ich nicht lüften. Für Bob Dylan find ich gut! Haruki Murakami hätte ich den Preis auch gegönnt. Vielleicht hat er ja nächstes Jahr endlich Glück damit.

Monday, August 17, 2015. Today, daughters first full day at home, I had the day off from work. We slept in until 930 am and had a rather leisurely, relaxed morning. I had changed the bed sheets, last night; so this morning, I washed the sheets and did another load of laundry. Made milkrice for brunch. In the afternoon, we went to the mall where it was nice and air conditioned! Daughter went out to dinner with two of her friends, who are my neighbors daughters.
