Tuesday, February 14, 2006. What once seemed to be a bright future in politics for Paul Hackett now looks like a distant memory. The Ohio Democrat dropped his bid for the Democratic nomination for US Senate citing party pressure as his reason. Daniels for governor of New York. Friday, May 05, 2006. Daniels Backs Faso for Governor. According to the latest polls it is still an uphill battle for both of the Republican candidates. They are trailing by more than 50 points behind Democrat Eliot Spitzer and over 40 points behind Tom Suozzi. Faso will probably win the GOP nomination, but I highly doubt he can turn the election around when he is this far down in the polls.
Wednesday, April 05, 2006. Week of March 30 - April 7. Illinois Secretary of State Jesse White entered into this week with success as the results from the primary election were announced. White overcame his opponent Dan Rutherford in the poles earliest election, suggesting a positive outlook for the rest of his campaign trail. In light of this good news, White kept on with his usual busy schedule of public appearances and new announcements.
