Thursday, 29 August 2013. I met Dave Mairs on the walk, and while chatting we found at least 3 Spotted and 1 Pied Flycatcher. We walked on to the area where I usually see Adonis Blues, and although it was really quite windy we were in luck and found a few of these lovely bright blue butterflies. I also saw briefly a single Silver-spotted Skipper, plus several Wall Browns. A really nice relaxing day out. Sunday, 11 August 2013. Wood Sandpipers at Coldharbour lagoon.

Soon the news broke that the Brunnichs Guillemot was still in the harbour but unfortunately was always in the most shaded part of the harbour throughout our stay. My poor phonescoped White-billed Diver attempt! After a good time watching this remarkable bird we moved a few miles up the coast to take in the opportunity to see Cirl Buntings at Broadsands. The last time I saw Cirl Buntings in Britain was on 21.CONTENT

Friday, June 26, 2015. Montenegro 2 - The Longest Day. The challenge on 1 January is to kick off the New Year in style and ideally to see something juicily rare to set the tone for the coming tw. The view across some of the smaller settlement ponds at Ulcinj. Alas I forgot to check my camera battery, and it was dead, so for the whole day I was dependent on my phone.
For me, like many young women, birthdays and Christmas meant sparkly jewellery. A love of unique jewellery, and especially art glass, has insinuated itself into my very being. Whilst visiting the art hotspots of west coast America, I became fascinated by dichroic and fused glass. Learning to create fused glass pieces and sharing my passion for colour has informed design journey.
