Welkom op mijn weblog over de natuur van polder Blokhoven, tussen het dorp Schalkwijk en de Lek, in de gemeente Houten. Ik neem je graag mee op een virtuele fietstocht door een polder die door eeuwen boerenwerk geworden is tot een prachtig open cultuurlandschap dat rijk is aan oude natuur. Het blijft veel langer mistig dan gehoopt. Dat biedt me dan wel de gelegenheid de heldere taal en inzichten uit een interview met Rowan Williams. En de schuchterheid van Appelvinden.
