Wednesday, August 5, 2015. It was an interesting day on the coast today, if not for birds, then to see how the coast is shaping up with fall migration clearly underway. Juvenile and adult Least Tern. Click for a closer look; the plumage of the juvenile is beautiful.
Tuesday, October 18, 2016. A Few Migrants thus far. I have not gotten out much but here are a few good shots. Potential Willow Flycatcher; right time window, this one found a couple days after I heard what I thought was a willow in the same spot.

Birding Made Easy New Orleans. Saturday, August 15, 2015. Roseate Spoonbill at Nine Mile Point on West Bank. Yesterday I made a visit to the grain elevators on River Rd at Nine Mile Pt. A Roseate Spoonbill was plying the shallows of the pool just downstream of the entrance, seen from the Miss River levee. It was an adult, as revealed by scattered rich pink feathers among the paler pink overall body tones. I am 90 sure another individual of the species flew out as I approached. Good busy birding spot.CONTENT
