Today I did a dawn-to-dusk, 260-mile birding loop of Kent and East Sussex, logging 97 species in the process. At Cuckmere Haven was the grand finale of a day which produced a total of 21 shorebird species, including Pectoral Sandpiper. At Dungeness and two Little Stints. And a late juvenile Little Ringed Plover. Juvenile Curlew Sandpipers in reflective early morning light at Oare Marshes.
