Monday, August 10, 2015. Sunday, 9 August 2015, marked the 50th anniversary of the proclamation of Singapores independence. The weekend featured many celebrations. We spent the afternoon walking from our apartment to the Singapore Botanic Gardens, about 6 miles to the northeast. There, we joined many Singaporeans to watch on large screen television the broadcast of the National Day Parade NDP, which was taking place in the Padang, near Marina Bay. Dempsey Hill seems a throwback to colonial times.CONTENT

Thursday, May 31, 2012. European River Trip - sept 2012. Europe river trip Sept 1012. We fly to Amsterdam and go directly to the boat. We have an evening to walk around Amsterdam and a boat tour of the canals the next day. This is our first exposure to these European river boats and was a great experience. The accommodations were very nice, if somewhat compact. Our trip was 17 days, with a 4 day post trip to Prague, Czech.
Holiday Cottage in Lochcarron, sleeps 4. View from front of cottage. It has full central heating, TV - digital with DVD player, has off road parking, is wheel chair accessible and is a non smoking house. All bed linen, towels and heating are inclusive of cost. Posted on January 27, 2009. I dread it so much. But, what can I do? I am sinking right now, not really circling the drain yet, but I am feeling the swirl. I keep thiking it will pass, that is will lift, and I can go on ignoring it.
