We think too much and feel too little. More than machinery, we need humanity; more than cleverness, we need kindness and gentleness. Without those qualities life will be violent, and all will be lost.

January 28 and 29 Facebook HQ, CA. All 2015 conference videos are now posted on the schedule. Last year we open sourced React and community adoption blew us away. React opens a world of new possibilities such as server-side rendering, real-time updates, different rendering targets like svg and canvas. We need to rethink how we write applications using one-way data flow, immutable data structures, the full power of JavaScript and languages targeting it.

I am suggesting that as we go through life, we accentuate the positive. Hopefully, this blog is a source of optimism for us now and in the future.

Friday, February 20, 2015. The New Year Started with a BANG! Let just say the month of January was a tough one for me. There were some high points and some very low points. Over all I was definitely glad to see the month end. I was taking Isaac to seminary at 6 am and I backed into the garage door. The ironic thing is, the day before. Ruck was in the auto shop for sixteen days.
