Architectuurfotografie is sterk aan traditie onderhevig. Mede door toepassing van de technische kamera op statief is ze statisch, frontaal, symmetrisch en perspectivisch correct met een grote scherptediepte, gespeend van gebruik en gebruikers, leeg en kunstmatig belicht. Pogingen om de architectuur foto te verheffen boven de technische weergaven, als dag en nacht opnamen, sfeerbeelden bij avondlicht en picturale compositie doen daar weinig aan af. Misschien moeten we ook de gren.

Gedurende mijn professionele loopbaan als docent architectonisch ontwerpen aan de faculteit bouwkunde TUDelft heb ik veel beroepshalve gefotografeerd. Meer dan tienduizend dias met gebouwen en interieurs. Vanaf 2000 ben ik digitaal gegaan. In 2006 heb ik een Hasselblad gekocht. Sindsdien weer veel analoog gewerkt. Donderdag 18 oktober 2012.
