Thursday, March 11, 2010. Santiago - Feb 25, 2010. Sheri and Curtis arrived at Mendoza for one last time. Waiting and waiting on the bus to drive into a big building. Finally the driver got us off the bus and we walked into the big building. We stood in one line then in another then wandered around and found the folks from our bus standing in a room. They searched our luggage then loaded it back on to the bus. They did a head count and we were. It was a very windy road. Is old and peaked out about a hund.
Saturday, July 12, 2014. Curtis on the rooftop of Katmandu Guest House. Canadian climbing team loading gear at dawn. Our Pilots and the de Havilland Twin Otter aircraft that flew us to Lukla. Curtis in front of huge carved mani stones and prayer flags. Yak train coming up the trail in the rain.
Friday, August 22, 2014. Mountains above Salento in Valle de Cocora. From Medellin we took a WiFi equipped Mercedes Sprinter bus through the windy mountain roads to Manizales. We were stopped by construction for more than an hour so, the driver tried to make up time by driving extra fast. A poor women sitting behind us had motion sickness and barfed into a bag.
Tuesday, August 28, 2012. Pulling out early the next day we motored on a rough road, seeing nobody until we arrived at. Aerial photo of Sossosvlei in the Namib Desert. Sossusvlei is a dry river valley that penetrates about 25 miles into the sand dunes that make up the Namib Desert in western.
Saturday, September 21, 2013. I stayed at the Millenium Hotel. The hotel is located immediately west of the World Trade Center site. My room had an excellent view looking across and down into the site which spurred my curiosity. The site has been in a constant state of recovery and reconstruction since 2001 . Millenium Hotel is the black building on the left. And there are two memorial fountains.
Wednesday, March 9, 2016. Bend to Baja Sur 2016. Cardon Cactus, arid rough landscape, clear water and plenty of sun are icons of Baja California. Photo was taken near Playa Santispac on Bahia Concepcion in the Sea of Cortez. Curtis and Sheri flew down to Cabo del San Jose and met up with Dawn and Bob for a tour around Baja California Sur, Mexico. Baja California is split into two states. This map is of the southern state of Baja California Sur. Dawn and Bob at sunrise at Villa del Mar.

Sheri, Curtis, and Norma jetted out of Portland at odark thirty thanks Nadine and caught a flight to New York then a 10.5 hour jump to Istanbul. Unfortunately there was a two hour delay which stretched out what was a long trip to start with.
