Day 41 ; final farewell. Sunday, April 12, 2009. The day has finally came for us to reminisce the 41 days we had in Wuhan. With all our things packed, we were ready to leave and yet at the back of our minds, we know we will miss this special place that has touched our lives one way or another. Tuesday, April 14, 2009. Last day of embracing china. Our trip back to Singapore. Everyone was busy packing their stuffs the night before, trying to stuff their china purchases into the suitcases! Including me. So early in the morning, we have to take our luggage. For weighing and also to empty the rooms. Seeing the room, so bare. Reminds me of when we first came to wuhan. Everything feels so weird and unfamiliar. But within those 6 weeks, it became a home and sanctuary.
Monday, April 13, 2009. Day 41 - Back to Singapore! Today is the day we go back to SINGAPORE! My day started out at 8. And I headed back to my room and finished up the packing of mostly my toiletries and daily necessities. All the MDE students weighed their luggage using the weighing machine at the hostel. After that we had to move all our luggage up the bus. Then off we were to the airport. All finished with the weighing. It was a mad rush.

Before we board the bus, all of us were so busy preparing to move our luggage from point A to point B and to the next again that we had not have enough time to be emotional about going. A facepalm week of Pinoy participation to recent international issues. But as soon as I dismissed that thought as nothing but mindless musings of a still-sleepy mind it occurred to me that that incident, once again, put our citizens and country in a bad light.
