Coffee and Doughnuts Ice Cream. 3 day-old glazed doughnuts, cut into 8 pieces. 1 cup cold, strong, brewed coffee. Place the doughnut pieces in a single layer in the bottom of a shallow dish. Pour just enough of the coffee over the doughnuts so the liquid is completely absorbed by the doughnuts. Put the dish in the freezer. Chocolate Creme Fraiche Ice Cream.
3 teaspoons of baking powder. 190; teaspoon of salt. 189; teaspoon of cinnamon. 188; teaspoon of cloves. 1 cup of thick prune pulp. 1 cup of dry breadcrumbs. 1 cup of ground suet. 3 medium eggs, well beaten. Sift the flour; measure; then and sift with the baking powder, salt, cinnamon and cloves. Make the prune pulp by rubbing cooked prunes through a sieve. Combine the prune pulp, breadcrumbs, suet, sugar, milk and eggs.
In a large bowl, beat the eggs and sugar until very light and fluffy. Stir in the anise oil and lemon zest. Add the flour and baking powder; mix until well blended. Cover and chill dough for 3 to 4 hours.
