It seems strange, but up until last weekend I had never raced my fat bike. My sponsor, Freewheel Bike. Grizz a couple of weeks ago and that would be my race rig. Studded 45N tires and a SRAM XO1 kit.
Saturday, November 15, 2014. Bad Ass Beard Ice after a win at Pando Ski Area. 21 total races, 5 podiums and 2 wins. The season kicked off back in January with a 5 race Michigan Fat Bike Race Series. Frozen toes, fingers and water bottles were the theme riding slowly and tipping all over Pando, Felt Mansion, Rolling Hills, and Addison Oaks. Tuesday, February 8, 2011. Wednesday, October 20, 2010. It was another beautiful day in Northern Michigan for the 5th annual Peak to Peak mountain bike race at Crystal Mountain. I have enjoyed this race the last few years, and was looking forward to it. The promotor always does a nice job with everything and the race has a good atmosphere. It was nice not to be freezing at the start.

Saturday was the big mountain bike race from Kalkaska to Traverse City, the biggest one day race in the United States and has drawn close to 4,000 racers for the past couple of years. It has become a huge end of the season event with racers coming as much.
