The hardest might have been the goodbyes. to the country, the way of life, the Olympics. And then it was home to Chicago. where it all seemed to real to be home. And so here I am, at the end of a summer of adventures. I will miss everything about China. even the things that seemed so annoying.

Seriously, the most concentrated area of tourists since I have been here. We also went on Tower Bridge before leaving for the airport for Amsterdam.
Wednesday, August 27, 2008. We discovered another great part about having an Olympics credential, as we got to bypass the normal check-in lines and all of our bags got Olympic tags on them. In the words of the volunteer who helped me, it was so they took extra special care of my bags. I love this kind of treatment. Monday, August 25, 2008.
