Sweet Berry Fougasse is a recipe from Craig Kominiak, former Navy cook and owner of Ecce Panis in New York. Were the kickoff recipe from Baking With Julia for the TWD group. The group also tackled his Whole Wheat Loaves. And Foccacia, although I did not bake the latter. The Fougasse uses focaccia dough as a base for a morning pastry of sorts, topped with fruit and a streusel mixture prior to baking.

Thursday, December 20, 2012. 2 oz unsweetened chocolate, chopped roughly. Melt the chocolate and set it aside to cool. I pop it in the microwave for 30 second increments, stirring after each one, until the chocolate is melted. After it is done chilling, form balls.

I used the best bittersweet chocolate I could find. I wonder if bourbon would have been better. With whipped cream next time.
