Keeping up with the Barquist family. Sunday, March 18, 2018. Darby was star of the week. She got to take Bear Bear home for the week. Our neighbor joined Darby and Bear Bear for a snack. They moved their chairs to the mailboxes so they could chase the sun. We sort of forgot about Bear Bear the rest of the week so we took a few staged pictures. We did take him to basketball games but forgot to take a picture so we took this one instead. Saturday, March 17, 2018.
The journey to our little girl in China. As though her tongue had been loosed or something. This was naive and now, having a better understanding of cleft issues we know it will take time. Tuesday, May 19, 2015. On the Uncommon Perception of My Garden. My second year of seminary is over! Only one more to go. For me, one of the worst parts of finishing the school year is the change of pace. My mind is finally given space to be as anxious as it wants to be, thinking of the future, purpose, calling, and nothing to do about it now. Free from homework and anything else to do after dinner until September, I. Saturday, January 3, 2015. Friday, November 28, 2014.
Friday, August 24, 2012. Yesterday was a big day for Quinn. It was a half day. And he did GREAT! Lars, Alby and I did great yesterday too. We walked him in to school, found his classroom, put his gym shoes away and opened his new school supplies. Typical of Quinn, he was all smiles! He now has a locker, an assigned desk, a new backpack. I did great yesterday morning. And not so great last night. And then we left the room.
