Monday, March 30, 2009. Settling In, Sort of. In the last 3 months we have lived in 3 different houses, in 3 different cities, in 2 states, and logged over 3,000 miles together on the road. Reese has gotten two teeth and lots of chub, Bailey and I have gotten moodier, and David got a job in Temecula, CA.

Tuesday, October 7, 2014. It is very hard to teach my daughter about modesty in this increasingly immodest world. Even most of the cartoons these days are less modest than they used to be. I know my daughter is only two. But it is still hard to find modest clothing for her. Shorts are often very short and most dresses have no sleeves. This includes what you wear. Think about it, would you really feel comfortable sitting at the saviors feet in really short shorts and a tank top? Or in a short dress? Never.
Wednesday, September 5, 2012. Since being back in Utah we have tried to cram all of what a Utah Summer has to offer in just a few short weeks. 1 We officially took Brylinn to tube the Provo River. We figured since she was almost born on that river that is was about time. She was pretty nervous at first but after a while she was comfortable enough to actually fall asleep. On the way down she was pretty tired. She mostly just wanted to give up right then and there.

Thoughts and cookings on Roleplaying games. The pictures must have been also quite effective way to get my creative process going since I almost immediately had a few ideas about the ingredients. After going through my initial ideas and thinking about what kind of a game I want to create this time, I ended up having a one solid idea that I can flesh out more as I progress. The game continues until the Para.
As a person who likes to focus on the narrative, the characters and the themes, rather than the actual simulation, I feel that this instinct to log and define what you are carrying at any given time interferes with roleplaying a lot. When people open the gear tables and see what they can buy, it slows down the game.
