Friday, December 23, 2011. We finally made it to Zoo Lights! It was a warmer, dry evening and so the zoo was PACKED, but we really enjoyed our first outing to see the annual display of Christmas lights all around the zoo. I think the bus ride to and from the overflow lot and chasing the cheetah lights were the highlight of the evening for the boys. First Day of School! .

Our flight left Portland bright and early at 630am this morning. We had a quick 30 minute stop in Seattle then our long flight to Newark, NJ. Once we landed we decided to navigate the trains on our own from the airport to downtown Manhattan. The pic below of the 4 of us is waiting for our last train.
