Despite the medication, my physical distress and utter helplessness made these first days in the ICU a terrible ordeal. I survived by concentrating on each physical problem. My life hung in the balance, as did the risk of quadriplegia, but I did not think much about these threats because I was totally concerned with relieving my immediate symptoms.
It has been quite sometime since I have written or even thought about writing. Then today, while I was looking over my homework, this topic came to me. It struck me that I HAD to write it down and share, so forgive my sub-par writing today, but the message is important. Often we hear the phrase. Song by heart and even sang it to my kids! Our sin renders our service useless.

Sunday, April 27, 2014. It ended up pouring rain on us. We love to SKI! Skiing has been a huge family tradition for us. With 6 kids in my family we would often take 3 chairs on the chair life up the mountain. We would always sing songs back and forth from chair to chair. It was really fun to teach Lily and Niki some of those songs.
