Thursday, December 11, 2008. Here is the article that I wrote, this summer for the Crossings Newspaper. When Christmastime came around last December, and Journey Fellowship began to prepare boxes to send as gifts for the kids at the orphanage, I chose to send my box to Wendi. Now that I knew her, filling her box was easier and even more joyful. I could imagine her opening her box, looking through things chosen especially for her, knowing that I was thinking about her.

Sunday, December 6, 2009. Finally Made It To Salt Lick. Salt Lick didnt disappoint. I had the three meat plate. All three delicious. The sides were.well they are just that - sides. I go for the meat! The sauce was interesting, but delicious. The atmosphere was nothing special. Real plates and real waitstaff. Not what you expect from a BBQ joint. But the taste was certainly there.
